Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Antsokia website and mobile app (together, the "Platform"), operated by Temro Mastemar. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

  • The Platform is offered as a Sunday school and spiritual learning service and welcomes students of many ages. If you are under the age required by law to agree to these Terms on your own, a parent, guardian, or supervising teacher must create or oversee your account on your behalf.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@antsokia.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

2. Using the Platform

  • You may browse the public course catalog, and once registered, enroll in courses and learning paths, watch or read lessons, take quizzes, take notes, track your progress, and earn certificates.
  • You may participate in course Q&A discussions, leave course reviews, and receive announcements and messages from your teachers.
  • You agree to use the Platform only for lawful, respectful, and educational purposes consistent with its role as a Sunday school learning tool.

3. Enrollment, Fees, and Payments

  • Some courses are free; others require payment to enroll, as shown on the course page before you enroll.
  • Payments for paid courses are processed through our payment provider. By enrolling in a paid course, you authorize the applicable charge.
  • Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support@antsokia.com with your enrollment details if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
  • Organizations that enroll groups of learners are responsible for any billing arrangement agreed with Antsokia for those enrollments.

4. Certificates

Certificates are issued when you complete the requirements of a course or learning path as set by the teacher. Certificates reflect completion of coursework on the Antsokia Platform and are provided as-is; they do not constitute an official academic or civil credential unless separately stated by the issuing organization.

5. User Content and Conduct

"User Content" means anything you post on the Platform, including Q&A questions and answers, replies, reviews, notes, and profile information. You keep ownership of your User Content, but by posting it you grant Antsokia a license to display, store, and distribute it within the Platform so that teachers and other students can see it as intended (for example, in a course's Q&A thread).

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

  • Post content that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or disrespectful of others, including teachers and fellow students;
  • Post content that is false, misleading, or contrary to the teaching and values of the course and the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church context in which it is offered;
  • Copy, resell, or redistribute course content, quizzes, or certificates without permission from the teacher or Antsokia;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to the Platform's systems;
  • Use the Platform to send spam, advertising, or unrelated commercial content;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

Courses, lessons, quizzes, learning-path materials, and the Antsokia name, logo, and design are owned by Antsokia, its teachers, or its licensors. Enrolling in a course gives you a personal, non-transferable license to access that content for your own learning; it does not give you the right to reproduce, publish, or sell it.

7. Teacher and Organization Accounts

Teachers are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the courses, lessons, and quizzes they publish, and for engaging respectfully with students in Q&A. Organizations that manage groups of students are responsible for the learners they enroll and for complying with these Terms on those learners' behalf.

8. Termination and Suspension

You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Platform, or if required by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church authority overseeing the course content, without limiting any other remedies available to us.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform and its courses are provided "as is." We work to keep course content, quizzes, and certificates accurate and the Platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the extent permitted by law, Antsokia is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Platform; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount, if any, you paid for the relevant course in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved under Ethiopian law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform grows. We will update the published date on this page when we make material changes. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
